Introduction of Mixing Tube

Mixing tube assembly is positioned at the base of the machine & is employed to assure reasonable mixing of air-abrasive media, allowing for unrestricted flow of media. The air abrasive combination is delivered to the nozzle via a blasting hose. The mixing tube is made from cast iron. We are one of the best mixing tube assembly manufacturer in India.

Mixing Tube Assembly

Mixing tube assembly is employed in sand blasting equipment. It is encountered at the foot of the sand blasting hopper & is employed to assure reasonable mixing of air-abrasive media & encourage unrestricted discharge of media. Air abrasive combination is delivered to sand blasting nozzle via a blasting hose.

Assembly comprises a mixing tube, an abrasive nipple, an air nipple, & a union, which are all readily available in our industries. Steel Shots, Steel Grit, Copper Slag, Aluminium Oxide, Glass Beads, & Cut Wire Shots are also known in a scope of sizes & abundance from our offices.

It is encountered in the underneath of sand blasting machine situation it is utilized for acceptable mixing of air-abrasive media to simplify free discharge of media.

  • The air abrasive combination is supplied to the nozzle via a sand blasting hose. It is made from cast iron.
  • The assembly comprises of a mixing tube, abrasive nipple, air nipple, & union.

Abrasive flows by gravity via the metering valve into a fast streaming stream of compressed air. Metering valves with certain spread abrasives at 90 degrees compels turbulence, whichever oversees to erratic abrasive flow, irregular wear on piping, & inaccurate mixing of air & abrasive. Providing abrasive into air stream at 45 degrees allows air & abrasive media to integrate smoothly. A good abrasive metering valve permits precise adjustments. Air valves & other valves not specifically designed for abrasive will wear rapidly & adversely affect flow.

Disassemble mixing-tee & mixing-tube for sand blasting

  • Empty sand blasting Nozzle (overhead, shaking)
  • Release side cover (3 screws)
  • Pull out blue pipe from mixing tee. (pipe could effortlessly be dragged out by pushing blue ring at the mixing tee.)
  • Extract bulkhead (or hose clamp at Nozzle-L) & carry out mixing-tube.
  • Screw out mixing-tee (at more inferior rear of the pressure blasting cabinet) accompanied by an open-end-wrench.
  • Check if the mixing-tee is blocked by utilizing a 2,0mm drill.
  • Screw in the/a mixing-tee likewise (no thread adhesive necessary).
  • Now check the mixing-tube. The origin wall-thickness is 1,0mm. Especially if corundum-abrasive is used the mixing tube wears out. If the wall thickness is more subordinate than 0,5mm, replace it.
  • Have a look at the blue hoses. (Humidity may generate dust deposits).
  • Test your sand blasting Nozzle without abrasive & check if the tube connections are tight.

For higher blasting productivity with less abrasive consumption, choosing the optimal abrasive-to-air mixing ratio by mixing tube is significant. The ratio should be established on the abrasive blasting machine performance curve, which demonstrates that blasting productivity tends to gradually improve with the abrasive feeding rate, up to a critical value, & then productivity is maintained constantly. In addition, to achieve the optimum abrasive feeding speed to the existing blasting process, the reasonable choice & adjustment of an abrasive metering valve accompanied by heightened repeatability are fundamental.

The configuration of the sand blasting nozzle handles work efficiency and air consumption as well as blasting productivity & its pattern. Consequently, the selection of an optimum nozzle should be founded on a exhaustive evaluation of these blasting-related parameters preferably than a simple evaluation of cleaning rate.

By quantitatively evaluating the influence of abrasive size, hardness, & nozzle pressure on blasting interpretation, we have delivered three factors certain significantly affect blasting productiveness. The accurate assortment of abrasive-to-air mix ratio, abrasive remote control valve, & nozzle could dramatically improve the blasting productiveness, whereas the consequence of abrasive hardness on surface profile is unexpectedly insignificant.
