Sand Blasting Hose performs admirably in a variety of medium pressure portable sand blasting machine and transfer applications. The thick rubber tube resists sand and other abrasive materials as they pass through the hose and dissipates static electrical charge for operator safety. The thick hose wall resists kinking for unrestricted flow and is resistant to abrasion and corrosion for maximum performance.

Sand Blaster Hose

Sand blaster hose from SBM is available in continuous lengths of 200 feet, subject to minimum order quantity and stated cost. Sand Garnets, Copper Slag, steel grit, Steel shot, Cast Steel, Glass beads abrasive, and other highly abrasive media materials used in sand blasting machine applications are recommended. Due to exceptionally minimal tube wear, this product is specially engineered for greater performance and longer life.

It should be noted that the hose should be three times the size of the nozzle. Examine the hose ID to see how it compares to the nozzle size. Every SBM product is carefully labeled, and we also provide a variety of high-quality nozzles. Improper sizing causes unnecessary wear and strain on the inside of your blasting tube, resulting in a reduced equipment lifespan. Proper size not only extends the lifespan but also assures that no air pressure is lost from the hose to the surface.

Abrasive blasting jobs require two hoses, each with a varied length to ensure the best blasting power. The first hose connects the air compressor to the blast pot, and the second connects the blast pot to your work surface. Because the compressor, unlike the blast pot, is not easily portable, the first hose is often longer and requires a bigger ID size. A longer hose from the compressor to the blast pot allows for greater mobility, while the bigger ID assures that the blasting media reaches the pot. The second hose from the blast pot to the work surface should be as short as possible to get the most pressure out of the hose.

SBM Blasting, your one-stop shop for professional sand blasting equipment, offers a tough line of 2-ply blast hoses. The SBM 2-ply Sand hose is compatible with all types of blast media and takes suitably sized couplings and nozzles. The 2-ply hose is available in sizes ranging from supa hose to 4-ply. While the supa hose is thinner and more flexible, the 2-ply hose is a tougher option for major abrasive blasting machine applications. However, when compared to 4-ply hoses, 2-ply hoses offer greater flexibility without sacrificing durability.

As previously stated, the hose cover is weather, ozone, and abrasion resistant. The sand blasting hose with a small internal diameter can be utilized for shorter runs and as a sand blasting cabinet hose. It can also be utilized as a "whip hose," or the last 10 to 15 feet of hose at your blast nozzle for improved control.

Our 2-ply sand blasting hose is available in sizes of 10", 25", 50", 100", and bulk 200" +/- 6 inches.

Sand blasting hose works with 2-ply  217 psi pressure.

Frequently Asked Questions
What type of hose is used for sandblasting?

Sand blasting hoses (also known as abrasive-blasting hoses or blast hoses) are primarily used in abrasive-blasting applications to transport extremely abrasive materials such as sand, steel shot, copper slag, and aluminum oxide. They have abrasion-resistant inner tubes.

How do I check my Sand blasting hose pressure?

You can easily measure your blasting pressure with an SBM Pressure Gauge Kit. Follow these three simple steps while the abrasive flow is open: Insert a hypodermic needle at the bottom of the gauge into the nipple. Insert the needle slowly into the rubber hose a few inches away from the nozzle holder. Aim the needle at a modest inclination toward the end of the nozzle. Slowly insert until you receive a consistent reading. Do you have 100 psi? Take a reading and then remove the needle. Save for the next time.

What equipment do I need for sand blasting?

Air compressors deliver the high-pressure air essential to the blasting process. Blast pot, or pressure blast tank, is a coded pressure vessel that feeds the abrasives into the air stream. A nozzle that directs the abrasive media at the appropriate angle for sandblasting surfaces. Sand blasting nozzle is connected to the pressure pot by sand blasting hose.
